I am Everything
2016

Through all my choices I can see the very thing that makes me who I am. It is far beyond my notion, an origin of awareness, a source of energy, where all things come from, pieces of a big universe and also me. Now I am among them existing, all as one. And it tells me, I am everything.

I am everything, means that I as a being are connected with everything, sharing the energy in which everything takes form; the energy that has created everything I am aware of, has also created me. That is the idea I had toward the defining of my own life at that period.
Rootstocks & Branches describes the relation between human and nature in the form of birth and motherhood; Rock & Cave describes a process of growth. Though in different forms we are, human or tree, animals or material, we all exist, with no exception, as the performance of the positive and negative energy. I praise how we are all inner connected in such way; and the splendid, endless forms that may appear; overall, the power within creation, the source of all together, the beginning of life, the origin.
Such powerful sensations bathed me throughout the process of making those painting. Thanks to the score of the movie Gravity by Steven Price, the music preserved a fantastic atmosphere for my mind.

This is not the first time I represent the two energy poles within the form of humanity with two particular human figures. But this time it is most direct and personal. I shortened my name to Ali since I learnt that it means wings in Italian. Those wings in the painting could be the existence of me tangling between the outcomes of love and fear, each of its details formed by boundless mysterious components. I wouldn't explain my art work with my poor knowledge of Relativity and M-theory, mostly because it is not the explanation that I’m looking for through the performance of art, but a praise toward those I may wonder.
Many things happened over the past few years kept bringing me to new perspectives to look upon my life. I realized that I would never find the meaning of it by avoiding things that I fear. Happiness arise to me at the moments when I see those I fear ahead of me, yet still choose to continue, the moments when I learn that no matter how big my fear is, I can always find something inside me that’s bigger, stronger, greater than it. And that’s what defines me.
